Italy Chapter

Starting February 2027, the POLI.design’s Course in Design and Neuroscience brings architects, interior designers, and industrial designers into the science of human experience. Over 60 hours, participants explore how perception, cognition, and emotion shape the way people interact with spaces and objects, and learn to turn these insights into design strategies.

What you'll learn

  • Theoretical foundations: integrate your design skills with core principles from neuroscience, physiology, and psychology.
  • Neuroscience focus: deepen your understanding of perceptual mechanisms and how they shape human experience.
  • Neurodesign: apply insights into human behavior throughout the design process of spaces and objects.
  • Multidisciplinary knowledge: gain a multidisciplinary perspective to enhance spatial experience and work in cutting-edge design environments.

Attend from anywhere, join us in Venice

The Course is built around a weekly four-hour remote lesson over three months, so you can join from anywhere in the world. Lessons combine theory, seminars, case-study discussions, and hands-on exercises, led by an international faculty. The program opens with a class at POLI.design in Milan and culminates in a seminar and final debate on the opening day of the Venice Biennale. Both sessions take place in person, but you can also join them online.
