Mission statement
A home to innovators in architecture, neuroscience, and psychology, UCL is a hub for transdisciplinary thinking and novel discoveries. ‘Neuroarchitecture’ asks wicked questions where no definitive answers can be given, but rather wicked and evolving knowledge is required. Our expertise across disciplines equips us with agility and myriad, evolving approaches and tools to respond to the wicked – and enjoyable – challenges presented at the intersection of architecture and neuroscience. Our integrated knowledge base forms an academic home for researchers at all career stages, including doctoral and masters’ students, while importantly maintaining and continuing to develop strong industry ties. Our group is engaged in shaping UCL’s links with the commercial sectors that span topics from mobile brain imaging, architectural design, eXtended Realities, motion capture, robotics, spatial cognition research, neurorehabilitation, to wider healthcare infrastructure and design.
