Mr. Ardalan is a well-known architect, author, scholar, and also a visiting speaker at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT), and Yale University to name a few.
 
Please join the seventh installment of our Salon Series, an inspiring and thought-provoking virtual conversation with architect and author Nader Ardalan, where he shares the magnificence and enchanted mysteries hidden in Persian architecture. The significance of balance and harmony as well as their relationship to the ‘self’ will be discussed during this first salon talk in a series focused on architecture. More sessions will be coming in the new year.

Speakrs’ Bio:
Nader Ardalan is an Architect with a long and distinguished international career in the fields of Planning, Architecture and Historic Preservation. He holds a BArch from Carnegie-Mellon University and Master of Architecture from the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University. His work and research reflect his particular concern for cultural and ecological aspects of architecture. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Arts, Culture, and Spirituality Forum (ACSF).
 
He is the co-author of The Sense of Unity, published by Chicago University Press; The Habitat Bill of Rights:  Residential & Community Design Guidelines for the United Nations Habitat Conference, with Jose Lluis Sert, Moshe Safdie, George Candilis, and BK Doshi.
 
He has been a Visiting Professor at Harvard, MIT, and Yale University. He has been written about in professional journals and publications including Newsweek, Architectural Review, National Geographic, Contemporary Architects, and Who’s Who in the World.  He has been a founding member of the Steering Committee of the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture; He is a frequent Jury member for major international design competitions. He was featured recently in the hour-long Dan Rather Reports Television program on sustainability on HD/Net entitled: “Power to the People” and interviewed on NPR and BBC.
