Workshop : Public Space as a Living Lab

Scientific Protocols for Human Dynamics: Measuring Cognition, Mood and Behavior in Urban Environments
Fri, Oct 09 - Sun, Oct 11, 2026 EDT  New York City, USA

Public Space as a Living Lab is a three-day, hands-on workshop taking place from October 9–11, 2026, in New York City, USA. All sessions are scheduled in New York time (Eastern Time).

The workshop explores how small, reversible public-space interventions influence cognition, mood, and behavior. Bringing together urban design, environmental psychology, neuroscience-informed methods, and technology, participants will learn practical tools to measure human experience and translate evidence into healthier, more livable, and human-centered design strategies.
