This Discourse explores the intersection of neuroscience and architecture in the context of living with dementia. The conversation focuses on the unique qualities of Le Village Landais Alzheimer, in Dax, France, featuring insights from cognitive science, architectural design, and user experience. The workshop’s goal is to uncover ways to apply neuro and cognitive science research in the design process, in order to create coherent, engaging, and cognitively enhancing environments that support the well-being of individuals living with Alzheimer’s/dementia. The workshop, organized by ANFA (Academy of Neuroscience For Architecture) is co-hosted by ADI (Alzheimer's Disease International), UIA (International Union of Architects) and IHCD (Institute for Human Centered Design).
